Chelsea Property Group to Celebrate 10th Anniversary of New York Stock Exchange Listing
Chairman and CEO David Bloom to Ring The Closing BellTM
ROSELAND, N.J., Nov 24, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Marking its 10th anniversary as a public company, Chelsea Property Group, Inc. (NYSE: CPG) announced today that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David Bloom will ring The Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange tomorrow, November 25, 2003.
Organized as a real estate investment trust (REIT), Chelsea completed its initial public offering in October, 1993. Its portfolio at the time consisted of 12 properties, containing a total of 1.6 million square feet of gross leasable area, located in 9 states. The Company's total market capitalization was approximately $458 million.
Chelsea's portfolio today includes interests in 61 properties - containing 16.1 million square feet of GLA - in 31 states and Japan. Among these assets are many of the most productive and valuable outlet centers in the world, including Woodbury Common Premium Outlets(TM) (near New York City), Orlando Premium Outlets (Orlando, Florida), Desert Hills Premium Outlets (near Palm Springs, California), Wrentham Village Premium Outlets (near Boston) and Gotemba Premium Outlets (near Tokyo). Chelsea's current total market capitalization is approximately $4 billion.
